false eyelashes for menGentlemen envious of their partner’s luscious lashes will be glad to hear about a new product specifically designed to give them a wide-eyed look.

British brand Eylure is now selling false eyelashes for men, and they are available for sales worldwide at www.feelunique.com.

Designed for “discreet wear”, the product retails at £4.75 (SG$9.70) a pair and creates a fuller look for males lacking in the lash department.

Although typically considered a female concern, this new product caters to a rising interest in male eye grooming.

Blink Brow Bars have locations in London and New York, where men can enjoy a variety of treatments including an eye soother for tired eyes and an eyebrow tidy and tint.

This isn’t the first piece of male grooming news to emerge this month. American company EVOLUTIONMAN, has introduced a series of nail paints and varnishes specifically for guys in masculine sounding shades such as Pavement, Alter Ego, and Stand Out.

A survey last year revealed more than three million men in Britain regularly wear makeup, with James Endersby of Opinium Research suggesting preened male stars could be an influencing factor.

“Male celebrities are seen wearing ‘manscara’ and ‘guyliner’ and everybody thinks it’s normal,” he was quoted as saying.

Hollywood actor Johhny Depp, singer Seal, Canadian-American actor Dean McDermott and Britain’s Prince Harry are just some of the famous faces to have experimented with nail polish.

Meanwhile, stars including actor Russell Brand and musician Brandon Flowers are known for experimenting with eye makeup. — AFP RELAXNEWS
