Hot on the heels of the launch of their five new smartphones based on the BlackBerry 7 Operating System (OS) this September, Research In Motion (RIM) expands the BlackBerry 7 portfolio with the new BlackBerry Bold 9790 and BlackBerry Curve 9380.

The new BlackBerry Bold 9790 smartphone boosts a touch display, keyboard, and optical trackpad. At a size of (LxWxD) 110m x 60mm x 11.4mm, it is narrow, comfortable to hold and slightly smaller than the BlackBerry Bold 9900. With the BlackBerry 7 OS and 1GHz processor, this phone delivers smooth performance when browsing the web, running apps and enjoying multimedia. It includes 8GB of onboard memory and supports up to 32 GB of additional storage.

We haven’t heard word when the BlackBerry Bold 9790 will be launched in Singapore yet, but from November 26th, customers in Indonesia will be able to purchase the new Bold from authorised BlackBerry retailers.

This is the first all-touch smartphone in the BlackBerry Curve family. Its small handset size (L x W x D) 109mm x 60mm x 11.2mm features a 3.2’ resolution display.
