When we saw singer Olivia Ong at the Samsung Mobile PIN launch on January 18 and she was sporting an unusual new look.
Gracing the Samsung event with K-pop group SKarf, Ong toured the Samsung Mobile PIN pop-up store and exhibition — which is now open at Ngee Ann Civic Plaza until March 12, 2013.
The songstress debuted a sleek blue-black ‘do with almost “nude” makeup. Sartorially, she has also gone a touch bolder; Olivia wore tattoo stockings with her white frock. This, from a singer better known for her wavy brown tresses and a preference for girly, demure dresses.

When we quizzed Olivia on the makeover, she said simply that she wanted “a change”; and perhaps we’ll see some of that newfound sassiness at her upcoming concert.
The star is expected to hold a concert in Singapore this year; and the months leading up to her big performance will be captured in an eight-part Samsung mini series at the Galaxy Wonderland website. Fans will get to see behind-the-scenes footage as Ong starts preparing for her concert night.
Ong belted out a new song ‘A Love Theme’ at the event, then shared more about her “Wonderland” project with Samsung.
Fans will get to contribute to Ong’s upcoming ‘Wonderland’ track by sharing drawings and scribblings of inspiration on the Galaxy Wonderland website. Participants will also be entered in Samsung’s weekly lucky draws; fans stand a chance to win one of 10 Galaxy Note II LTEs and tickets to a Samsung-exclusive Olivia Ong showcase.
SKarf fans should look to the Samsung I Was Here Facebook app that features photos by the girls, who were in town specially for the Samsung event.

“Like” and share snaps by the SKarf girls with the Facebook app and you’ll stand to win a Samsung Galaxy camera and a chance to meet SKarf live as well.

The celebrity ambassadors also showcased just what you could do at the Samsung Mobile PIN store. Visitors will get to test out and shop for the latest Samsung devices. The Samsung Mobile PIN exhibition will then immerse you in the Samsung how-to: discover how you can best use Samsung product features in your daily life.

As part of its “world without walls” Samsung Mobile PIN experience, Samsung has also launched a series of online contests and games for Singapore users; with attractive prizes up for grabs.
So if you’ve been eyeing a Samsung device or two, why not make a stop at this pop-up store.
