Wellness is still a strong focus amongst many hotels, with travellers now expecting more than just a pool and spa at five-star hotels. The best hotel openings in 2024 will not only have these amenities but also partner with top wellness brands, offer innovative treatment programs, and feature advanced fitness facilities.

Soneva Secret

Luxury hotel group Aman is poised to unveil the first hotel from Janu, its innovative and more accessible sister brand, in the vibrant city of Tokyo, Japan. Derived from the Sanskrit word for 'soul,' Janu was created to cater to a broader spectrum of guests.

As the first of a dozen upcoming projects by Janu spanning diverse urban, rural, and coastal destinations, Janu Tokyo showcases 122 luminous rooms and suites. The interiors, a fusion of timeless Asian inspiration and contemporary European accents, are a masterpiece envisioned by the acclaimed architect Jean-Michel Gathy. This design, which weaves together textures, colours, and elements, radiates a youthful and playful ambiance that distinguishes it from its illustrious counterpart Aman.

As expected from the Aman group, Janu Tokyo will also house a cutting-edge 4,000 sqm Wellness Centre, two exclusive Spa Houses, and an array of eight dining destinations. This comprehensive experience is designed to offer guests a holistic retreat in the heart of Tokyo.

Janu Tokyo is set to open in March 2024.

The Standard, Singapore

The hotel will house an à la carte restaurant, offering international cuisine throughout the day, and the Radio Rooftop Bar – a new meeting point with panoramic city views for locals and visitors alike.
