Sup on the new black pepper lobster ($48++) at Street 50, created for the occasion of the nation’s big birthday bash. Like the ever-popular black pepper crab dish, the restaurant’s lobster dish uses the Chinese-style black pepper sauce, ginger, onion and Chinese wine for that smoky wok-fried flavour.

Summer Palace National Day Set Lunch

Said to be a hot favourite in The Halia’s Hanoi outpost, The Halia Chilli Crab Spaghettini is an al dente pasta cooked with spicy egg-based gravy inspired by the Singapore chilli crab dish. The Halia’s Singapore Sling gets a bit of a twist too, with a secret orange liqueur and the fresh, floral Hendrick’s Gin.
