Girl group Katseye member Megan Skiendiel has been spotted in Singapore over the holiday season.

On Dec 22, TikTok user @hwangjy_ uploaded a clip of herself bumping into the half-Singaporean 18-year-old at shopping mall Bugis+.

The fan said: “Must have used up all my karma points to chance upon meeting the sweetest Megan.”

She added via text in the clip that she had made eye contact with Skiendiel after spotting her and mouthed to her: “Megan?” Skiendiel responded yes, and agreed to take a picture with her.

Skiendiel told her she was in Singapore to spend time with her family. Skiendiel has a Singaporean-Chinese mother and an American-Swedish father, and was raised in Hawaii. She is now based in Los Angeles, like the rest of Katseye.

The sextet was formed via the reality competition show The Debut: Dream Academy (2023), a collaboration between K-pop conglomerate Hybe and American label Geffen Records.

Billed as a global girl group, they made their debut in 2024 and found fame with the TikTok viral song Touch, released in July. The song has been used in more than 400,000 videos on the short-video platform.

In since-expired Instagram Stories, Skiendiel shared glimpses of her trip back in Singapore, including the dim sum she ate here.
