If you’ve been anywhere near TikTok or Instagram this week, you’ve probably seen the buzz around Jay Park coming to Singapore for his first HYROX race. And yes, it’s a big deal.
But he’s not the only one flying in.
This weekend’s AIA HYROX Singapore 2026 race is quietly shaping up to be one of the most star-studded editions yet, with a mix of returning fan favourites, elite athletes, and fitness creators all touching down in our little red dot. Think high-performance racing, but also a lot of very good-looking people pushing sleds and running laps.
The fan-favourite duo returns
If you remember last year, Choi Min-ho and Physical: 100 star Hong Beom-seok didn’t just compete, they basically became the highlight of the weekend.
This year, they’re back and wasting no time. The pair will be taking on the HYROX Doubles race on Friday morning at 9.30am, making them one of the first major names to kick things off.
And they’ve clearly been putting in the work. Hong Beom-seok arrived earlier in the week and hosted a shakeout run with Puma Singapore, giving fans a rare chance to train alongside him.
Min-ho, on the other hand, kept things simple. He posted a casual in-flight photo on Instagram on Thursday (2 April) afternoon while on his way here, which was enough to get fans talking.
No rest days for Hong Beom-seok
For Hong Beom-seok, one race clearly isn’t enough.
After Friday’s doubles with Min-ho, he’ll be back again on Saturday evening for the Men’s Pro Doubles at 6pm. This time, he’s teaming up with his former HYROX partner Gabe Heck.
The two last competed together in Singapore in November 2025, and if you followed that race, you’ll know they set a seriously strong pace. In fact, it feels like this round is a casual return for them and a second shot at pushing their limits even further.
Fresh off a win and straight into another race
Also in town this weekend is Amotti, and he’s coming in with momentum.
The lululemon ambassador just won the HYROX Fittest Creators Cup in London alongside fellow Physical: Asia teammate Kim Dong-hyun, and instead of taking a break, he’s heading straight into another race.
He’s originally scheduled to be in Singapore for the Paws for a Cause dog walk at Universal Studios Singapore on Sunday, but fans will now get to see him compete in the Men’s Pro Doubles on Saturday at 5.30pm too.
One to watch in the Pro category
Another name to keep on your radar is Shota Yamaguchi.
The Japanese fitness creator and lululemon ambassador will be competing in the Men’s Pro category on Saturday at 6.10pm. He might not be the loudest name on the list, but if you’ve seen his training content, you’ll know he’s seriously disciplined and consistent. Definitely one to watch if you’re staying for the later races.
The debut everyone’s watching
Then comes Sunday, and all eyes will naturally turn to Jay Park.
He’ll be making his HYROX debut in the Men’s Doubles category alongside his trainer Park Chan-so. It’s his first time competing in this format, which makes it even more interesting to watch. His race is scheduled to start in the afternoon at 2.30PM.
A weekend worth showing up for
And that’s not all.
You might also spot Korean CrossFit coach and fitness influencer Caro (also known as @kidcaro on Instagram), who’s often seen training with Hong Beom-seok and Amotti, as well as entrepreneur and content creator Nico Bolzico, who’s known for taking on fitness challenges.
So whether you’re heading down to race, support a friend, or just soak in the atmosphere, this weekend’s AIA HYROX Singapore is shaping up to be more than just a competition. And honestly, even if you’re not into fitness, there’s still plenty of reason to show up.
