The Formula 1 weekend in Singapore brought the city to life with an electric atmosphere, combining world-class racing with dazzling entertainment. As one of the few night races on the F1 calendar, the Singapore Grand Prix delivered high-octane action under the city’s glittering skyline.
After three days of exhilarating action, the event ended on a high note when Lando Norris took the podium for the third time in his career, followed by three-time World Champion, Max Versteppen from Red Bull, and his fellow McLaren teammate, Oscar Piastri who clinched third place for the Singapore GP.
The 15th edition of the Singapore Grand Prix remained a fan favourite, drawing an impressive crowd of 269,072 over the three-day weekend – bigger than the 2023 race, which drew a near sell-out crowd of 264,108. The record attendance of 302,000 was set in 2022 before the route was modified to exclude the Float @ Marina Bay to accommodate the construction of NS Square.
Aside from the intense battles on the track, this year, the Singapore GP also saw a slew of live performances by some of the most recognised international artists from around the world.
On day one, British electronic-pop duo Honne kicked off the performances at the Padang, where they performed some of their popular tracks like ‘Location Unknown’ and ‘Crying Over You’, as well as some of their new songs from their recent album, Ouch, that was released earlier this September.
One Republic then took centre stage where they treated fans to a captivating 1.5-hour set filled with their greatest hits and tracks, including songs they’ve penned for artists like Beyoncé and Leona Lewis. Midway through the performance, the rain started to come in, but the fans remained undeterred, fully embracing the live music experience.
On day two, fans streamed in to catch the qualifying round of the Formula 1 Grand Prix, where they saw Norris and Verstappen take the front row of the grid, solidifying their position for the race on Sunday.
On the entertainment side of things, attendees of the Singapore GP on Saturday were also treated to performances by Kylie Minogue, K-pop sensation BabyMonster, and Disclosure.
Rounding off the weekend, to celebrate the end of the race, the event capped off with a stunning performance by Lenny Kravitz, who made his debut in Singapore at the Padang
The Grammy-winning 60-year-old made his debut in the late 1980s, but it was only in the early 1990s that he started scoring hits that featured his trademark falsetto and blistering guitar riffs.
