Amidst the whirlwind of events sweeping across the island this month, Singapore's culinary landscape blossoms with new flavours and experiences. This April, foodies can look forward to an array of exciting new ventures as we welcome a wave of new restaurant openings and tantalising menu additions. From the reopening of Bar Cicheti to the highly anticipated roast experience at FYSH, ahead, we've rounded up some of the restaurants to check out this month.
Since it first opened its doors in Singapore in 2017, Bar Cicheti has undergone a major makeover over the last month to refresh its space. Known as the country's first dedicated pasta and wine bar, the restaurant now boasts striking red décor evocative of the Venetian bacari-inspired interiors from the 1960s. Of course, along with its new look, the restaurant has also given a complete overhaul of its food and drinks menu as well.
This time, Head Chef Danny Ng and The Cicheti Group’s chef-owner Lim Yew Aun teamed up to refresh the menu, while still keeping its focus on its eight signature pasta dishes, complemented by a tight curation of starters and desserts. With a mantra of "simplicity infused with flavour," they've created standout dishes like the Smoked Rigatoni Cacio e Pepe, a unique spin on the classic, and the Spaghettini al Nero di Seppia, doused in black, briny squid ink aglio olio sauce topped with garlic and smoky rings of char-grilled baby squid.

Located within the new Singapore Edition, the roast menu, available every Sunday, will see indulgent dishes by Josh Niland including starters like the Swordfish Empanadas with Roast Garlic Yoghurt and Charcoal Grilled Slipper Lobster with Vadouvan and Lime. Moving on to mains, guests can look forward to dishes like the Butterflied Aquna Murray Cod and Flowering Zucchini & Pecorino Pie with Grilled Peppers, Saffron and Basil — a dish perfect for sharing or savouring solo.
To complement your hearty meal, be sure to look out for the FYSH Trolley, of which the restaurant will be serving some of the freshest cuts for you to choose from, before ending your meal with some desserts like the Tarte Tropézienne and Chocolate & Murray Cod Fat Caramel Tart.
