If you haven’t tried premium coffee Seattle’s Best Coffee in the United States before, all you need to know is that this popular brand is bold and full-flavoured with a texture apparently so smooth, it even has its own patent, “Uncommonly Smooth™”.

The coffee is now available in eight coffee brews at all Burger King outlets islandwide - except the Burger King at Escape Theme Park.

As part of Burger King’s ongoing “With the King, you can” campaign that runs from September 30 to December 1, the fast food chain will be launching an online application called BK Coffee Smootherizer (www.burgerking.com.sg/coffee), where you can receive a 50 per cent discount e-coupon on Seattle’s Best Coffee.

But there is a catch: you have to be mean. To enjoy the deal, visit the application from November 18 to December 1, upload a photo of your “bad” coffee and rate how terrible it tastes on the “Bad-Coffee-O-Meter”, which rises with every participant’s rating.

The reason? Burger King confidently claims to be able to transform your coffee experience from bad to smooth.

A pretty daring claim, I’d say, but enticing nonetheless.

At the same time, once the “Bad-Coffee-O-Meter” hits the 50 per cent mark, a BK Free Coffee Day will be activated and free cups of Seattle’s Best Coffee will be given out the next day at designated locations from 8am to 10am. A second BK Free Coffee Day will take place when the reading hits the 100 per cent mark.

So, long story short, the nastier you are, the quicker you get a cup or two of free coffee.

But hey, I would upload a picture of my three-in-one instant coffee in a heartbeat if that’s what it takes to score free coffee. Wouldn’t you?

Seattle’s Best Coffee will be served in eight new brews, from $3.60. For more information, visit www.burgerking.com.sg.
