RECIPE: Make an Instagram-worthy French toast for weekend brunch

FRENCH TOAST WITH ICE CREAM, CARAMELISED BANANA AND CHOCOLATE SAUCE

Serves 4

INGREDIENTS 

6 eggs

1 tsp + 120g sugar

4 tbsp fresh milk

8 slices raisin bread, cut into triangles

4 bananas, sliced

1 cup Ghirardelli Chocolate Sauce

4 scoops vanilla ice cream

DIRECTIONS 

1 In a bowl, beat the eggs with 1 tsp sugar and the milk. 

2 Dip the bread in the egg mixture and pan-fry over medium heat until golden brown. Remove from heat and set aside. 

3 Clean the pan and heat 120g sugar until melted and 

caramelised. Add the bananas and coat them evenly with the caramelised sugar. 

4 Place the bread on a plate and top with the bananas. Spoon the chocolate sauce over and serve with a dollop of ice cream.
