A classic for a reason

New mooncake flavours may come and go every Mid-Autumn Festival, but there’s a reason the classics continue to have a place at the table. From salted egg yolks buried in smooth lotus paste to flaky Teochew pastries, these are the flavours many of us associate with the season.
And as this year’s collections show, traditional doesn’t have to mean predictable. A little lychee, osmanthus or even coffee can bring something new to the table without completely doing away with what makes a mooncake a mooncake.
