This new kid on the block serves up a killer grilled Iberico pork pluma with caramelised pineapple, Japanese chilli cheese churros and beef cheek mole with fresh jicama. Don't forget to get an Insta story of its ultra-cute interiors, too!
14 Bukit Pasoh Rd, 089828
Update: Casa Poncho is relocating and moving out of Bukit Pasoh. Pls check their FB page for updates.
With two locations on the island, Barrio (meaning "neighbourhood" in Spanish) By Mex Out is exactly what it claims to be - a social, energetic casual dining spot with the vibes of a beer garden. Order the Corn Esquites to start - chargrilled corn cob coated with butter, mayo, paprika, cheese - and then savour delish mains, from quesadillas to tacos and more.
End on a sweet note with churros!

We're glad this popular Mexican chain in Australia made its way to Singapore. Their signature burritos are huge, but we'd willingly surrender ourselves to a looming food coma for this.
Another plus point: choose between different fillings for single orders of tacos, so you get to try out a little but of everything (then go back for more!)
#B1-07 Chevron House, Raffles Place, 039803
El Mero Mero is Mexican slang for "the go-to-guy", and true to its name, this restaurant is fit to be your main man for all things Mexican.
Contemporary creations include the Tiger Prawn Ceviche with lime, tomato, serrano; avocado and red onion on a crunchy tortilla, Kurobuta Al Pastor Tacos, and even Mexican-inspired desserts like the Tequilla Pecan Pie.
30 Victoria Street, #01-20 Chijmes, 187996
Cha Cha Cha is one of Singapore's oldest Mexican restaurants - and surely that says something about their food. If you think burritos are the best Mexican inventions ever, wait till you try the Chimichanga - wait for it - DEEP FRIED burritos.
Other favourites: the selection of seafood tacos, as well as the Culiacan, cheese-stuffed king prawn wrapped in bacon with Mexican rice and sour cream. Si!

This restaurant looks two parts quirky and one part cutesy - think pattern-tiled floors, wooden chairs hanging from the ceiling - but the food here is quite another force to be reckoned with.
Try the Ancho Pulled Pork, filled with fresh guacamole, cilantro rice, refried black beans, sambal mayo salsa or savour one of the restaurant's tequila and mezcal handpicked tasting flights.
19 E Coast Rd, 428746
We love the vibes of this dynamic Mexican garden bar- it's like a fiesta - but not quite as much as we love the food. Even their meat-free tacos, the Corn & Artichoke taco, which features a mix of spicy corn fritters, sweetcorn pate, fried artichoke and finger-lime crema encased in a taco-shell, pack a punch; wash your meal down with a playful Mexican cocktail.
