So where do you begin? Well thanks to TikTok, there are various recipes that you can try making in less than five minutes. In Her World's first roundup of #BackToOffice hacks, ahead, we're spotlighting some of the easiest breakfast recipes to try at home.
This breakfast recipe requires zero skills. All you need to do is to beat up a few eggs, and grease your pan with some oil or butter, before pouring your egg mixture into it. If you like, you can sprinkle some shredded cheese for some added flavour, before layering on your favourite breakfast wrap. What we love most about this recipe is that you can easily flip it over once the egg mixture is fried and you can add as many toppings as you like into your wrap. Think — bacon, chicken, peppers or vegetables, the choice is yours. After cooking it in the pan, you can easily fold it like your usual quesadilla, and call it a wrap.
Most of us think that making crepes are only reserved for the pros. But this easy-to-follow recipe on TikTok might make you think otherwise. Using only four ingredients — egg, sugar, milk and flour — you can easily whip this up in the morning and you can even add other ingredients like yoghurt and berries.
In fact, if you're looking to make things a lot sweeter, you can also add a layer or nutella or any other spread to your crepe to satisfy your sweet tooth.
This list would not be complete without a recipe for pancakes. While you can buy the pancake premix from the supermarket, this recipe shows us how you can make your own fluffy pancakes with just three ingredients from your kitchen. Simply add a few eggs, milk, and self-raising flour into the mix, and you've got yourself some batter! Alternatively, you can also take it up a notch and add a scoop of protein powder as well, for a more nutritious meal. Last but not least, don't forget to add some fruits like strawberries or blueberries, and drizzle some maple syrup for that extra sweet finishing touch.
On days when you do want to cheat on your diet, then consider this sinful yet mouthwatering recipe. Start off by adding some diced potatoes into an oiled skillet, before seasoning it with some salt, and cook it for about five minutes or at least until it browns. Follow up by throwing in some bacon and parsley or green onions.
Then comes the best part. If you're feeling generous, or you're looking to boost your protein intake, add three to four eggs into the skillet. It does seem a little overwhelming at first but it's really delicious and filling.
On the hunt for more air fryer recipes? Be sure to add this one to your books. For this bacon and egg sandwich, all you need is two slices of bread, bacon, egg and pepper. Start by flattening out the centre of the bread with a spoon before breaking your eggs into the middle of each slice. Then, add your slice of bacon and sprinkle it with pepper, before putting it into the air fryer for 12 minutes. And that's it!
Craving for some french toast? We might have just found the perfect thing for you to try out for your next breakfast. Essentially, after soaking your sliced bread pieces into a mixture of milk, egg and cinnamon, you put the slices of bread into a pan, so it gets nicely toasted. Follow up by adding a drizzle of maple syrup for a sweet finish.
If you have a few bananas lying around the kitchen then you might want to try this out. To start, slice your bananas into small bite-sized pieces, and follow up by dipping them into some pancake batter (you can refer to the pancake recipe above on how you can make your own batter at home). After doing so, place them in a pan and toast until it turns golden brown. For more flavour, you can also add some maple syrup, honey or even some cinnamon powder.
Bored of oatmeal? Why not shake things up with this new caramel oats recipe. Like many other recipes, you'll need a bowl of oats, milk and a dollop of yoghurt. After mixing them in, cook the mixture for five to seven minutes, before adding the rest of the ingredients. Here, the recipe combines a balanced amount of bananas, peanuts, coconut flakes and saving the best for the last, a drizzle of blonde caramel. Now, that's one way to start your morning right!
