Flowers and jewellery are nice, but food is a language of love too. And this Valentine’s Day we’re expressing it in the form of all kinds of delicious edible sweet treats.
As a bonus, since food is meant to be shared, it’s a gift both you and your special someone can enjoy.
Plus, most of these desserts can be ordered online, so it’s great if you can’t bear joining the mad rush to buy V-day gifts out in the malls and shops (because we know how hectic life can get for you).
Below, are some of the insta-worthy edible gifts we’ll be buying or (hint hint) hoping to receive this February 14.
Churros Bouquet + 6 Pcs Classic Original Set ($38)
Photo: Churros Factory
If you are faced with the annual gifting conundrum: to buy flowers or treats for your sweet, look no further than this bouquet of sugar-dusted churros.
A true double edged sword of V-day presents, this edible bouquet even comes complete with a small message note card.
Each bouquet of hand-piped churros comes with two dips (choose from four sauces: caramel, butterscotch, strawberry and chocolate).
For hygiene reasons, the bouquet will arrive deconstructed. You’ll receive the materials to create the bouquet like the butcher paper and the sticks.
It might take you some time to put together this bouquet, but it’s sure to impress your special someone.
Get it from the Churros Factory website. Preorder at least two to three days in advance or go with the self-collection option.
Cat & Fiddle Madam Roselle Red Ruby Yogurt Cheesecake ($36.70, 7 inches)

It’s sure to be love at first bite with this sweet treat. Not every V-day dessert has to involve chocolate, so if you are ready for a different kind of dessert, try this cake from Cat & Fiddle.
The online store that specialises in cheesecakes is helmed by Chef Tay, who was formerly the pastry chef at Michelin-starred restaurant, Les Amis.
It is a symphony of taste and texture contrasts, with rosella tea jelly and yogurt swirled in velvety cheese mousse, sitting on a bed of crunchy biscuits crackers.
Serve up with glasses of celebratory bubbly for a perfect Valentine’s Day dessert.
Get it from from the Cat and Fiddle website or its flagship store at The Central@Clarke Quay, #01-41. Preorder at least two days in advance.

Antoinette La Rose ($15)
Roses and dessert all in one? Now we’re talking.
The rose-shaped pastry has red petals of dark chocolate, with a base of chocolate mousse, layered with cocoa sponge soaked in grand marnier.
Each rose is meant for two, so you can share it with your significant other. (Just a heads up, you’ll probably need a lot of self-control not to finish it all by yourself).
