Ladies Night in Singapore is often associated with teenage hedonism and utilising free entry and unlimited alcohol in clubs to a rather extreme advantage. However, there are more classy ways to spend a Wednesday evening even when you’ve far outgrown (and become too overworked) to be dancing ‘til dawn. We discovered a truly delicious and chic option in the form of Oxwell & Co’s The Ladies Dining Society.

The gastro pub located on Ann Siang Hill does food seriously well, and I speak from experience, having sampled Chef Nick Scorpion’s cuisine a few times! The vibes of the British-inspired pub are always buzzy after work, but the French windows on the second floor make for a more open and inviting dining experience for you and the girls. For $50++ you can enjoy a three course dinner with a dessert cocktail (of which the Reviver is mighty strong) and a welcome flute of champagne – in our books great value for money!

There are two set menus, so we suggest getting one of each if it’s you and a girlfriend, and sampling both. The Japanese tomato and cottage cheese salad starter is delicious and the red grouper filet was another favourite. When it comes to dessert, it’s definitely a sharing situation as both are seriously yummy. The lemon posset consists of homemade shortbread with a zesty, creamy lemon pudding whilst the ‘milk and honey’ option is a concoction of ice cream, coconut sago, honey and meringue.

I loved the mix of fresh ingredients paired with good alcohol which will satisfy your appetite without leaving you feeling over indulgent. With a view overlooking the frolics and good vibes of Ann Siang Hill, there are plenty of other spots to head out to for more revelry if you do decide to move on. Make sure to visit Oxwell’s rooftop bar before you do though! The views are dreamy, and it’s a perfect spot to take advantage of Singapore’s balmy sunset weather.
