Got a really huge craving for seafood? The new Fisherman’s Market buffet restaurant has got plenty to please your large appetite.

Opened in mid July, Fisherman’s Market presents a tantalising buffet spread with an extensive variety of international cuisines. Be it sushi, seafood pasta, chili crabs or clam chowder, this restaurant’s got it all.

There’s seafood cooked in various styles, marinades and sauces. Whether you’re a fan of Japanese or Italian cuisine, you won’t have a problem finding a seafood dish to meet your culinary preferences.

The restaurant has a bar section too; for an additional charge, you can choose to have some cocktails to go with your meal.

Have your sushi and sashimi freshly prepared by Japanese chefs and your tempura fried to order. Of course, many Singapore diners will head straight for the chili crabs and why not, when you can eat your fill of this local favourite?

If you’re up for something other than fish and crustaceans, try the restaurant’s sukiyakis and other meat-based dishes. In particular, the beef and vegetable marinade in curry flavour stood out. This dish wasn’t too spicy and it goes great with some bread.

Desserts are always a pleasurable way to end a meal. Pick the classic tiramisu or dip your marshmallow and fruit ever-so-tempting chocolate fondue. We were quite amazed at how quickly the chocolate had solidified on our fruity skewers; it does make this sweet treat a less messy affair.

Diners get to enjoy a scenic view from this two-storey riverside restaurant too, especially at night.

On a cool evening, sit next to the Singapore River in the alfresco area and watch adrenaline junkies take on the Gmax reverse bungee. Or pick air-conditioned comfort on the second floor, if you’ve only eyes for the seafood.

The buffet dinner is priced at $39.90++ for adults and $22.90++ for children below 12 years old from Mondays to Thursdays; $49.90++ for adults and $27.90++ for children below 12 years old on Fridays to Sundays. Fisherman’s Market is located at 6 Eu Tong Sen St, #01-15 & #02-17, The Central, Singapore 059817, tel: 6221-3177.
