Remember when we used to go to a BreadTalk bakery regularly to get its signature pork floss bun? Now, the bakery we all love has progressed from making yummy buns to Hello Kitty cakes and now has launched a café.
BreadTalk Café has taken your favourite Western dishes, such as pasta and pizza, and tweaked them, adding local flavour. Think western dishes with Asian flavours like green curry pasta. Sound good?
Name of restaurant: BreadTalk Café
Type of Cuisine: Western and Asian fusion
Ambience: Located right beside the iconic Fountain of Wealth in the heart of Suntec City, the café is simply furnished with a casual chic feel, making it a nice place to relax and take a break during lunchtime.
Must tries:
For starters, the Portobello Party ($7.90) is a great dish. With bacon, spinach and melted cheese all stuffed into a baked Portobello mushroom, the stuffed mushroom is juicy and full of flavour.
If you like Thai and western food, you’ll definitely love the Shrooms Green Curry Pasta ($12.90). With straw and button mushroom tossed around with al dente spaghetti and thick green curry sauce, the pasta is topped with a big fresh prawn on top and served to you piping hot.
Sardine lovers will enjoy the Sardinah Pizza ($7.90). With a crisp crust topped with sardine, hard-boiled egg, sundried tomatoes and a generous portion of cheese, the Sardinah Pizza is oozing with cheese and flavour, making it one of our favourites at the BreadTalk Café.
Verdict:
If you’re looking for an affordable, cosy, and casual place to chill out during your lunch break or after a hard day at work, the BreadTalk Café is the place for you.
