Here’s everything we know about Physical: Welcome to Mongolia, from the surprise cast members to its Singapore release date

It goes without saying: Netflix’s Physical franchise has had us completely hooked. From the brutal challenges of Physical: 100 to the adrenaline-fuelled face-offs of its latest spin-off Physical: Asia, the series has dominated conversations online, with fans passionately picking favourites and dissecting every challenge.
And just when we thought the journey had ended, Netflix is pulling us right back in with a brand-new spin-off that nobody saw coming.
Titled Physical: Welcome to Mongolia, the upcoming series brings together two of the most unforgettable teams from the Physical: Asia finale: Team Korea and Team Mongolia. The new show, set to premiere this January, will feature familiar faces including Physical: 100 Season 2 winner Amotti, Mongolian team captain Orkhonbayar Bayarsaikhan, and even fan-favourite Eddie Williams from Team Australia.
What is Physical: Welcome to Mongolia about?
The idea for the spin-off came about in the most organic way possible — from a casual exchange during the finale of Physical: Asia. After the match, Mongolian team captain Orkhonbayar Bayarsaikhan casually invited Korean team captain Kim Dong-hyun to visit Mongolia if he won. Kim’s response? A simple: “I’ll definitely go if I get the chance.”
And that one conversation snowballed into something much bigger.
Given how strongly Mongolia resonated with viewers, director Jang Ho-gi eventually met with Mongolia’s Prime Minister to discuss creating a full spin-off centred on the country. The result is a travel series that lets viewers experience Mongolia beyond the battlefield of the original show.
In Physical: Welcome to Mongolia, Bayarsaikhan becomes the team’s unofficial tour guide, taking the Korean cast across the country to explore Mongolia’s landscapes, culture and everyday hangout spots. Expect breathtaking scenery, beloved local eateries, and meaningful interactions with Mongolian athletes, all while the cast pushes themselves through new physical challenges.
Yes, there’s still plenty of action

Between sightseeing (and eating), the cast takes on activities like archery competitions, horse riding, and more. In a behind-the-scenes video shared by Netflix Korea, Kim Dong-hyun, Amotti, and Mongolian wrestler Lkhagva-Ochir Erdene-Ochir reveal that their time in Mongolia is extremely limited — roughly 24 hours.
Amotti sums it up perfectly:
Who’s in the cast?
According to Netflix Korea’s official post, the main cast includes Kim Dong-hyun and Amotti from Team Korea, alongside Orkhonbayar Bayarsaikhan and Lkhagva-Ochir Erdene-Ochir from Team Mongolia. One unexpected but very welcome addition is Eddie Williams from Team Australia, whose appearance has delighted fans given how close he’s become with many of the Physical: Asia contestants.
Despite the language barrier, Eddie has seamlessly blended into the group, regularly sharing behind-the-scenes moments, chaotic TikTok trends and wholesome cross-cultural friendships on his social media.
Beyond the confirmed line-up, there are also strong rumours that other Mongolian athletes, including judo star Adiyasuren Amarsaikhan, basketball player Dulguun Enkhbat, and volleyball player Khandsuren Gantogtokh, will make appearances in the series. Adding to the speculation, Australian parkour athlete Dominic Di Tommaso and South Korean competitor Jang Eun-sil were also recently spotted in Mongolia, fuelling talk of surprise cameos in the upcoming spin-off.
When can you watch it?
The four-part series will first air in Korea in two instalments, where episodes 1 and 2 will air on December 24th, followed by episodes 3 and 4 on December 31st. The global release drops on January 1, and for viewers in Singapore, you can start streaming it on Friday, January 2.
