Hong Kong – Taiwanese singer Yoga Lin has admitted to splitting up with G.E.M, the Hong Kong singer who recently gained fame on Chinese talent show I Am A Singer 2.

“This relationship has ended for some time,” he said on Thursday, confirming weeks of gossip of a split that has hogged entertainment headlines.

Lin, 26, was in Hong Kong to promote an April concert at the Hong Kong Coliseum and was speaking in an interview with Commercial Radio.

But, bristling at the media interest in the split, he asked: “Do people even know I’m here to promote my gig?

Lin did not give reasons for the split but said Kiki Ting, 29, the former Taiwan singer he has been linked to in the media, is just a good friend.

Was G.E.M, 22, dumped? Her manager Cheung Tan provided hints on Thursday, saying in an interview she had cried buckets over the split and was the “victim” in the three-year romance.

“G.E.M is actually the passive party. If you need to ask, ask Yoga.”

Cheung said relationships might end, but “just hope that both sides would bear responsibilities. One should not be secretive and leave things dangling”.
