Korean-Singaporean quartert Skarf makes their debut: Add these two names to a list of Singaporeans who are making our country proud – Ferlyn and Tasha, who are half of the new K-Pop girl group Skarf, along with Koreans Sol and Jenny. Their first track “Oh! Dance” is groovy, and a departure from the regular electro-pop sound.

Oppa Is Just My Style: As reported last week, Psy has released the second version of “Gangnam Style”, titled “Oppa Is Just My Style” with 4Minute’s HyunA. It’s doesn’t quite match up to the awesomeness of the original track but is still worth a look because of the cute chemistry between the rapper and the sexy singer. Oh, and Psy has a twitter account now – follow him at @psy_oppa.

Girls’ Generation in North Korea?: It seems K-Pop’s influence has reached its reclusive neighbour. University students, especially, love SNSD, and teenagers bring along USBs of K-Pop songs and music videos to play at parties. There’s even a North Korean version of the girl group called Moranbong Band.
