Who nearly fell? THAT trip and other Red Carpet memorable moments from the Oscars ‘17
From Olivia Culpo’s shimmy to Meryl Streep’s trip (well...almost), here are the some of the most unforgettable moments we saw on social media

Fashion with awareness
Olivia Culpo
The former Miss USA wore a custom Marchesa gown laden with fringe details and took a Boomerang of herself dancing the shimmy on the red carpet. Notably, her ensemble was made from Stella Artois limited edition glasses; she wanted to raise awareness for the beer brand’s partnership with Water.org.
For every piece of Stella Artois chalice sold, five years of clean drinking water will be donated to the people in developing nations. You can get yours here.
Oops, she almost fell
Meryl Streep
Meryl Streep looked like a Queen as she strutted down the red carpet, greeting the sea of photographers and eager fans who’ve been anticipating her arrival. Since it was pretty crowded on the red carpet, the award-winning actress decided to multitask by walking and posing for the cameras simultaneously. This proved to be a tad too dangerous even for Streep because in the middle of it, she accidentally stepped on her floor-grazing gown and almost tripped. What a close shave!
A breath of fresh air
Janelle Monáe
Singer-songwriter and actress Janelle Monáe is known for wearing masculine pantsuits but for this year’s Oscars, she opted for a dramatic Elie Saab gown and rounded up her look with a matching headband and clutch.
Jackie brought his “boys”
Jackie Chan
Jackie Chan didn’t just turn up at the Oscars empty handed. In fact, he brought along two incredibly cute Panda plush toys with him and hugged them during his interview with Ryan Seacrest.
Big hair, don’t care
Halle Berry
The 50-year-old actress (wait, what?!) showed up at the Oscars in an Atelier Versace custom number. However, we can’t help but notice her oversized hairdo that looked even more eye-catching than her body-hugging gown.
