It’s that time of the year again: Singapore has been getting cooler recently with the wet and rainy weather, so what better way to warm up than by watching a bunch of hot individuals engage in mind games?

Netflix has released its third season of Single's Inferno, the South Korean dating spectacle where contestants attempt to escape from Inferno (an island with just the basics, where age and job details are classified) to reach Paradise (a swanky hotel where the successfully matched duos can share personal information such as their ages and occupations).

For fans, this season has been filled with the most drama yet, boasting larger-than-life characters and a buffet of controversies, all thanks to the antics of some contestants.

Now that the show has come to an end, we can't help but notice some glaring red, green, and beige flags waving on the shores of this show. So, without beating around the bush, here are our unfiltered thoughts on all the contestants and the category they land in.

Disclaimer: Please remember that this is just a dating reality show. The timeline on this show is ludicrously fast, with everyone acting like they've been soulmates after just a week. When they start with the "This person is my heart and soul" spiel, remember it's about someone they met seven days ago. So, take it all with a generous pinch of salt – and remember, these are just the author's opinions. We're all entitled to our own, right?

And one more heads-up: We attempted to keep this as spoiler-free as possible. Keyword: attempted.

Red flag: Gwanhee

1/12

The undisputed red flag of the season. We’d like to point out that contrary to popular belief, his red flag isn’t because he likes multiple girls (I mean, c’mon — it’s a dating reality show, they’re supposed to explore different options).

The main point is, our man here – charismatic and charming as he is – just can’t make up his mind. One second, he’s in love with this contestant, the next, his heart is captured by another. Mr 33% flips-flops between different girls and falls easily for those who reveal their feelings quickly or come on to him strong, and expects the girls that he’s interested in to actively pursue him.

Besides that, he also had almost every girl’s inner alarm bells ringing when he disrespectfully pointed out the female contestants that he were interested in as “this one, that one, and this one” (sir, they have names).

He also loves making up scenarios (Scenario A: “what if, when we leave here, do you think we’ll get along?”), earning him the nickname of If-Boy. The way he checks for love with what-ifs and the way he doesn’t even know his own feelings – we’re sensing something deeper here, perhaps he was hurt in his past? That insecurity has got to come from somewhere.

(That being said, this author would like to say she could be colour blind, so…)

Red flag: Cho Min-ji

2/12

Her flirting skills is top-notch (we’re definitely taking notes), but um, that helicopter scene (or should we say, both helicopter scenes there and back) definitely made her a red flag. The disrespect to the other girl on the helicopter for flirting and trying to have a little moment with the other girl’s man while she’s on a date? It’s a no for us.

Red flag: Kim Gyu-ri

3/12

This gorgeous girl reminded us of a certain cast member from season one (that’s not her red flag).

Her red flag definitely came up in the later parts of the show, in particular that conversation. We get that her pride might have been hurt, but the way she handled the conversation in an immature, off-putting and um, slightly sinister manner definitely raised eyebrows. Plus, why are other people not allowed to have choices but she’s allowed to have choices?

(Also – why did she take off her mic because there’s nothing left to say, yet also won’t let the conversation end?)

Red flag: An Min-young

4/12

We’re still not over that four candies incident. Also for the conversation with Jin-seok after, when she declared that she was annoyed that Jin-seok made it seem like they were a couple and she wanted to talk to the other male contestants (fair enough – again, this is a dating reality show) but that he can’t be interested in other female contestants (NOT fair at all).

And when the consequences of her own actions found her, the way she acted was tactless and immature – a red flag for us, for sure.

Green flag: Choi Min-woo

5/12

He didn’t really give us much of an impression at first especially since he was so quiet, but he really lightened up the last few episodes. Just has a generally sweet, kind and gentle aura around him, and didn’t cause (too much) trouble on the show, so he’s green for us.

Green flag: Choi Hye-seon

6/12

There’s a reason why she’s the fan-favourite of the season – she’s confident, has an endearing and bubbly personality, and is secure and knows what she wants.

Also she’s such a girl’s girl – we spotted her reaction as someone else in her room was leaving for a date with Gwan-hee, and she was trying to be super supportive and happy for her. Green flag for sure.

Green flag: Yun Ha-jeong

7/12

We gotta tell the truth – we didn’t think we were going to love her as much as we do, but she slowly became a real gem throughout the season. She’s funny, charming, and tells the truth – you’re getting things straight up with her, no playing games.

Green flag: Lee Jin-seok

8/12

A masculine, manly man who knows his worth, minds his own business and is not afraid to be honest and direct (but still kind) when the situation calls for it? He’s definitely as green as he can get. Plus, he’s funny too – that Ha-jeong impression lives rent-free in our mind.

(Min-young, girl, you fumbled this one so bad.)

Green flag: Park Min-kyu

9/12

Loyal, funny, a great listener, and lends his shirt to crying girls on helicopters – need we say more? He gives out great advice as well, and there’s a reason why all the girls go to him with their problems. GREEN FOR SURE.

Green flag: Yu Si-eun

10/12

Her saying that she feels sorry to the person showering her with unrequited love, but wasting time feeling sorry wouldn’t be true to anyone’s feelings? That’s maturity and green flag material right there.

The only gripe is – babe stop touching your hair. It’s pretty enough without you adjusting it every half-second.

Beige flag bordering a little on red flag: Son Won-ik

11/12

He seems nice but we gotta be straight up – he’s a little boring. The conversations he has just seems dry. WHERE IS THE RIZZ?

Also the bordering on red flag moment when he knew that Si-eun didn’t like him and she liked someone else but he chose her anyway to go to Paradise? And the little petty moment when he tells Si-eun that he hopes she has bad timing with the guy she likes? Hmm…

Beige flag: Yun Ha-bin

12/12

He’s good looking, we can’t deny that. But there’s a reason why nobody picked him to go to Paradise for like, nine episodes of the season, so…

Also, when he finally goes to Paradise, why did he have nothing to say at all? And why did he only want to (barely) talk…when it’s time to sleep?

I used to pity the poor guy for not having any of the female contestants chasing after him, but now I take back everything – he's a bigger enigma than decoding Gwan-hee. Just picture the chaos of deciphering his choices if he were juggling multiple love interests.
