Netflix has confirmed the production of South Korean dating reality show Single’s Inferno 2.
The first season of the breakout reality dating show ran from December 2021 through to January 2022, and had a global audience hooked almost right from the start of the season. The show was set on ‘Hell Island’, a remote island where single participants travelled in search of romance and had to couple up.
"We searched hashtags on social media #girlswhoworkout or #guyswhoworkout, which seemed to be trending. I thought they would fit well with the show’s setting on the hot summer beach. There were also a lot of people who applied after seeing our recruitment posters. We received recommendations from friends of friends and reached out to PR teams in colleges and companies as well. When we needed something new, we even went out to the streets and handed out flyers."
