From Disney+ to Netflix, as well as Max and Viu, ahead, we’ve rounded up some of the most exciting titles that will be rolling out this May.
Nine Puzzles

If you’re into moody thrillers, this one’s worth adding to your queue. Nine Puzzles kicks off with Yoon E-na, who, as a teen, witnessed her uncle’s murder—but couldn’t explain why she was even there, which made her a prime suspect. Fast forward ten years, and she’s now a criminal profiler, still haunted by the past. When a string of new murders starts surfacing—each tied to a mysterious puzzle piece like the one found with her uncle’s body—E-na finds herself pulled back in. To solve the case, she has to work with Detective Kim Han-saem, who, awkwardly, once thought she was guilty.
Nine Puzzles is available on Disney+ from 21 May
A Complete Unknown

Timothée Chalamet as Bob Dylan? Say less. A Complete Unknown takes us back to 1961, when a 19-year-old Dylan—still a complete mystery to the world—arrives in New York City with nothing but a guitar and a wild sense of purpose. The series traces his early days navigating the folk scene, crossing paths with musical legends, and slowly carving out the sound that would change everything. With Elle Fanning in the mix and a soundtrack that hits all the right nostalgic notes, this one’s a must-watch if you’re into coming-of-age stories, music history, and that irresistible NYC grit.
A Complete Unknown is available on Disney+ from 21 May
The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives Season 2

A lot has gone down since Season 1 dropped on Disney+, and if you were anywhere near TikTok, chances are you’ve been following the chaos unfold in real time. Season 2 picks up right where the drama left off—messier, juicier, and somehow even more chaotic.
One of the original swingers from that headline-making scandal is back, and their return threatens to blow the whole thing wide open. Friendships are tested, secrets are on the verge of being exposed, and let’s just say… the sisterhood might not survive it.

The Last of Us

It’s finally here—and yes, it’s every bit as intense as we hoped. Season 2 of The Last of Us picks up five years after the heartbreak of Season 1. Miranda is juggling career changes and maybe a new love interest, and Charlotte is deep in the throes of parenting teens. Meanwhile, Seema’s dating again, and we’re getting a fresh mix of new characters and storylines that keep the world of Sex and the City feeling modern, messy, and still totally binge-worthy.

The Haunted Palace

Yun-gap, a well-respected and strikingly handsome government official, finds his life turned upside down when he becomes possessed by an Imoogi—a mythical serpent spirit. Though she was born with a spiritual gift, Yeo-ri has turned her back on that destiny and now works as a glassmith.
When the Imoogi seeks to use her body to ascend to Heaven, she refuses—and steps into the palace to confront it. There, she discovers the royal grounds are haunted by vengeful female spirits, harbouring deep grudges against the royal family. As these supernatural forces stir, reformist King Yi-seong —determined to build a stronger Joseon—finds himself facing the palace’s darkest secrets.
