Rita Ora is thrilled to be the next face of “cool” footwear brand Superga.

The pop star will front the Italian brand when she takes over from British style icon Alexa Chung in the new year.

Rita revealed more about the partnership during her debut campaign shoot with Superga that took place today.

“I love being comfortable and I live in flats,” Rita revealed to ELLE. “Superga trainers are like a blueprint that every girl should have in her wardrobe because you can go as glamorous as you like but still be cool and comfortable. For me that’s the perfect mix.”

This is Rita’s first high-profile endorsement since she burst onto the music scene after being discovered by rapper Jay-Z.

The 21-year-old has since become as well known for her individual style -including her signature red lips – as she is for her hit records.

Equally as comfortable in a couture gown on the red carpet as she is in baggy pants and beanie hat during the day, Rita’s proved she can pull off a variety of different looks.

Her rise as a fashionista was cemented earlier this month when she appeared in her first shoot for British Vogue magazine.

In the accompanying interview Rita gushed about her dedication to fashion and her plans to launch a clothing line of her own in the future.
