This year, there are definitely many things to look forward to, and we’re following closely on the arrival of several celebrity babies in 2023. Among the famous expectant mums so far are Sheila Sim, Blake Lively, Jayley Woo and more. Keep scrolling to see more of the celebrities who’re expecting babies in the coming year.
South Korean idol Lee Seung-gi and his wife, South Korean actress, Lee Da-in, are expecting their first child. The news was confirmed by Lee Seung-gi’s agency Human Made, which he set up in mid-2021. The pregnancy was also confirmed later by his wife’s agency 9ato Entertainment, which added that she is due to give birth in February.
Kourtney Kardashian has officially given birth to her first baby with Travis Barker. Now, with four children, it was revealed that her newborn baby boy's full name is Rocky Thirteen Barker, a name Barker first floated in a July episode of Complex’s GOAT Talks. Kourtney and Travis made their relationship Instagram official after Valentine's Day 2021, and the two lovebirds got married in May 2022.
Malaysian-British actor Henry Golding and his wife, Taiwanese model and wellness entrepreneur Liv Lo Golding, are now a family of four. Their second daughter, Florence, was born on Sept 9.
Liv Lo Golding, 38, documented the roller-coaster birth on her FitSphere website.
Their baby had to stay in the neonatal intensive care unit for a “10-day course of antibiotics” due to medical complications that included breathing difficulty. She herself was readmitted to hospital for a blood infection three days after giving birth. Both mother and daughter have since made a full recovery.
Everyone's jaws dropped when Karlie Kloss took on the red carpet at the Met Gala this year. Sporting a black bodycon maxi dress, the star flaunted her new baby bump and even posted a picture on her Instagram, with the caption, "baby's first Met".
The model then announced the birth of her second child, Elijah, with husband Joshua Kushner on 20th July.
Karlie Kloss wasn't the only one who surprised fans at the Met Gala with her baby bump. In fact, Serena Williams and her beau, Reddit co-founder, Alexis Ohanian, confirmed that they were having a second child when she posted a picture of her and her new bump on Instagram, with the caption "Was so excited when Anna Wintour invited the 3 of us to the Met Gala".
The tennis pro recently announced that she gave birth to a baby girl on August 22nd, on TikTok, via a skit featuring her husband and her daughter, Olympia. This comes a year after she announced she was retiring from tennis to grow her family.
Lindsay Lohan and her husband, Bader Shammas, announced they are expecting their first child via Instagram on March 14. Lindsay took to Instagram and posted a photo of her and her baby bump, with the caption, "Good times ☺️🤰So grateful for all of the wonderful people in my life! ❤️😊" The baby news comes months after Lohan and Shammas's confirmed marriage last summer.
The four time Grand Slam champion pulled out of a tournament in January but gave no official reason, however soon after that she posted a life update on Instagram featuring a sonogram and a caption saying she would be back on court next year.
The screenshots accompanying the image outlined her hopes for the future saying, “I realize that life is so short and I don’t take any moment for granted, everyday is a new blessing and adventure. I know that I have so much to look forward to in the future, one thing I’m looking forward to is for my kid to watch my matches and tell someone, ‘that’s my mom’.”
Actress/host Nadiah M Din was surprised this year to find she was once again pregnant after giving birth to her third child, a son, in December, 2021.
Writing in the Instagram post where she revealed the pregnancy to her husband, “…I kept convincing him it will never happen as I was fully breastfeeding and assuming I was not ovulating (also cuz I had no period after ezhaan yet) hahaha but sis was wrong and Dr Citra was right with the joke. “I might see you soon enough ya because your ovaries have a lot of eggs”.” Seems like her gynae got it right and her family will be welcoming a little girl soon!
After announcing her pregnancy, actress Carla D revealed on Instagram how meaningful the pregnancy was after years of trying. She writes how she found out about the pregnancy in 2022 on July 9, 1:45am, but needed two days and four pregnancy tests to believe it was real. Now she and her husband will be celebrating ten years together with a new addition to the family!
After only recently announcing her pregnancy, Amanda Chaang and Jon Chua are expecting to become parents in June this year. In her post about the event, Chaang revealed that kids hadn’t been in the plan for her and Chua but that they would go into parenthood with “hope and intention”.
Since announcing her second pregnancy in August 2022, Sheila has been spending most of her time with her hubby Deon Woo and daughter Layla Woo. In one of her updates on Instagram, the blissful mum wrote: “Being able to feel her moves, her kicks, her hiccups, her tossing about is just about the most magical feeling in the world.”
After suffering a tragic loss in 2020, Chrissy Teigen and John Legend are expecting their rainbow baby sometime in January or February 2023. Already parents to Luna and Miles, they lost their son Jack, pre-term, due to complications. Teigen, known for her openness and willingness to share on social media, was more cautious announcing this pregnancy.
Blake, who’s expecting her fourth child with husband Ryan Reynolds, celebrated Christmas this month by donning an adorable festive loungewear set that showed off her baby bump.
Malaysian influencer Cheryl and YouTuber Titus Low got engaged in June 2022. Fast forward a few months, Cheryl posted an ultrasound scan photo on her Instagram to announce that she’s expecting. The couple did a gender reveal party in November 2022, announcing that they’re expecting a girl.
The former Victoria’s Secret Angel model is expecting her third child with singer Adam Levine. In September 2022, Behati shared a photo gallery on an Instagram post and simply captioned it “Recent”. The first image showed a side view of her baby pump, and her followers reacted with congratulatory comments.
Grace surprised her Instagram followers in November 2022 with a video post that she captioned: “The Most Precious Gift in the World.” In it, she could be seen gently rubbing her baby bump before leaning in to kiss her hubby, actor Kevin Cheng. What a lovey-dovey couple!
Actress Jayley Woo confirmed her pregnancy to Chinese newspaper Lianhe Zaobao and also posted a sonogram in October. She and her fiancé, who works behind the scenes in the same industry, were introduced by friends and are expecting a girl.
