As the Power Rangers movie hits the cinemas here on March 23, 2017, let’s have a round of applause to welcome the rising newcomer please

A brief history of Lin

1/10

The 29-year-old actor was born in China and studied in Australia throughout his teens. He later emigrated to Canada to study theatre performance.

While this may be Lin’s first major break into the movie scene, he’s already appeared in other shows including Netflix’s Marco Polo season 2.

He’s a martial arts pro

2/10

Judging from his rock hard abs and bulging biceps, it’s not that hard to tell Lin’s been pretty active working out.

But that’s not the only reason behind his drool-worthy bod; it turns out that he’s also very into several different forms of martial arts and muay thai.

He works out at transit (like how normal human beings do)

3/10

What do we usually do when we’re waiting to board a plane at the airport? Probably shop at the duty-free stores, grab some food and drink or read a book.

For Lin, his favourite way of killing time seems to be a body workout (how hardworking!). Whatever he’s doing to tone up his body is definitely working out for him.

He’s a baseball fan

4/10

If you find it hard to focus on what he’s doing in his photos, don’t blame yourself. We know how dizzying his charm can be.

Now that we know he’s a baseball fan, don’t we all just want to sign up for a crash course in hopes of playing a game (or two) with him soon?

He could have been Harry Potter

5/10

The lightning scar, round glasses, scruffy hair and nerdy look… there’s nothing we don’t like about Lin’s Harry Potter inspired look.

If there was a remake of the entire Harry Potter films, we’d nominate Lin without a doubt. Move aside, Daniel Radcliffe.

He’s got a funny bone

6/10

Just look at it. How many guys can honestly pull off a playful cartoon character onesie without looking a) creepy, b) scary and c) silly?

Thankfully, Lin’s none of the above. Imagine him hopping around you trying to make your day by winning your smile. We’ll totally sign up for that.

He was on the cover of Men’s Health Singapore

7/10

Given his great physique, it’s no wonder he’s an inspiration for the guys here in Singapore (okay, maybe even around the world).

Which is why he recently appeared on the cover of our men’s magazine Men’s Health Singapore, showing off his washboard abs.

He supports women

8/10

As we celebrate International Women’s Day this month, Lin did a shout out on his Twitter to show his support for women around the world.

A man who encourages women to achieve the dreams that they want? He’s definitely one hot eligible bachelor!

You’ll know him as the Black Ranger

9/10

Lin’s big break is the upcoming film Power Rangers, out in cinemas on March 23, 2017.

For the uninitiated, the action movie tells the story of five ordinary high school teens saving their small town and the rest of the planet from an alien threat. Lin plays the charming Black Ranger.

He’s always wanted to be an actor

10/10

Lin, who’s modelled before, has always wanted to be an actor.

According to Model Mayhem, he said: “Truth be told, I’m an actor by trade but before eyeballs start rolling, I do try my best not to live the model/actor cliche, yet I cannot deny that acting is my love and passion.”
