My husband refuses to have sex with me whenever I have nail extensions on. What’s the problem?
I’ve never heard of any man turning down sex because of nail extensions. Maybe they just really turn him off , or perhaps you’ve accidentally skewered his family jewels with them before. Ask him what his issue is, or just stop wearing them – that definitely wouldn’t be the end of the world.

My guy grew up speaking Mandarin and loves Cantopop – which means he feels out of place when we hang out with my friends who are more conversant in English and dig indie bands from, like, Brooklyn. How do I get them all to bond?
Remember those clubs where everyone could dance together in the same room while listening to music through individual headphones? That would’ve been a great solution. Alas, it’s impossible to get someone to like music they aren’t naturally drawn to. Maybe you could all talk about sports instead.

Whenever we’re searching for a store in a shopping mall, my man refuses to get help at the information counter – we walk around for ages trying to find the place. What’s with men not asking for directions?
Because men don’t need help, unless we’re taking down lions in the wild or building a log cabin in the mountains. Admitting we’re lost goes against every principle of being a man – even though half the time we don’t know where we are or where we’re going. Compromise by using the mall directory.

I met this guy at work and we exchanged numbers. We’ve become better acquainted over text messages, but it’s awkward when we bump into each other – he mumbles greetings and barely acknowledges me. Should I ask him out?
A Sounds like someone’s got a shy guy! That’s cool, but expect it to get more awkward before it gets better. Quiet guys may need more time to get used to you. Why not ask him out to lunch via his preferred method: a text message? The more time you spend with him, the more comfortable he’ll be with you.
