Now that we’re well into the new year, it’s time to start planning for festival season. And there quite literally is no excuse – no matter your music taste, there’s definitely a festival for you. Whether you prefer hip-hop, jazz, EDM, or indie vibes, the festival scene has something to offer.
Feeling a bit overwhelmed by the myriad of options? We’ve got you – here is our roundup of the very best festivals in Asia for 2024.
When: November 22 to 24
Where: Legend Siam, Pattaya City, Thailand
What: Rolling Loud Thailand, the Asian edition of the world-renowned hip-hop festival, is set to return to Legend Siam in Pattaya from November 22-24. The 2024 lineup features an exciting array of headliners, including A$AP Rocky, Tyla, Ski Mask The Slump God, and Wiz Khalifa.
The previous year’s festival made a splash with headliners like Travis Scott, Cardi B, and Chris Brown, and included performances by Central Cee, Lil Uzi Vert, and Jay Park, marking a successful inaugural event.
For the 2024 festival, Ski Mask The Slump God, who recently released his new album 11th Dimension, is the only returning artist. The other headliners will be making their debut appearances at Rolling Loud Thailand.

Where: Singapore
What: Get ready to dive into the excitement as South Korea’s Waterbomb Festival is looking to make a splash in Singapore this summer. And it’s not just Singapore feeling the heat – the festival will also make waves in Bangkok and Ho Chi Minh City.
Since its inception in 2015, the Waterbomb Festival has been an annual sensation. As the name suggests, expect a deluge of water-themed activities set to the backdrop of electrifying performances by K-pop, K-hip-hop, and EDM artists, both Korean and local.
The lineup for the inaugural festival includes hard hitters like Jay Park, Jessi, Loco, Rain, Sandara Park and CL, as well as popular stars Chung Ha, Bibi, Kwon Eunbi, Viviz, dance group Bebe and more. Local performers who will be making an appearance include Haven, lullaboy, Alyph and more. In addition to the music, the festival offers a plethora of attractions including photobooths, water gun battles, and exhilarating water cannons firing off during the performances.

Where: Jakarta, Indonesia
What: After a five-year hiatus, Jakarta's LaLaLa Festival is making a triumphant return in August, unveiling an impressive first-wave lineup to mark its comeback. Headlined by the likes of Conan Gray, Madison Beer, Aurora, Bruno Major, Sabrina Claudio, So!Yoon! (of SE SO NEON), Hitsujibungaku, The Temper Trap, and Nothing But Thieves, the festival promises an electrifying musical experience.
When: August 17 - 18
Where: Tokyo and Osaka, Japan
What: The annual Japanese summer festival, Summer Sonic, is set to hold simultaneous events in both cities this August. Tokyo attendees can anticipate the familiar venues of Zozomarine Stadium and Makuhari Messe, while Osaka fans will experience the festival in a new location: Expo '70 Commemorative Park.
The lineup boasts an exciting array of international talents, including performances by Bring Me The Horizon, Måneskin, Aurora, OneRepublic, Bleachers, Jon Batiste, Laufey, Madison Beer, PinkPantheress, and more.
When: July 19 -21
Where: Jakarta, Indonesia
What: One of Jakarta's hottest festivals, We The Fest, will make its highly-anticipated return this July. Although the official lineup is yet to be unveiled, the festival's impressive history of past performers suggests that this year's roster will undoubtedly leave a lasting impression. The 2023 edition featured stellar acts such as The Strokes, The Kid Laroi, Daniel Caesar, FERG, and more, setting the stage for another unforgettable musical journey in the heart of Jakarta.
When: May 31-June 2
Where: Seoul, South Korea
What: Following her performance in Jakarta, Laufey will then head over to Seoul for the 16th edition of the Seoul Jazz Festival. This year, the extraordinary lineup is dominated by pop and R&B sensations. Besides Laufey, who is set to collaborate with a local string quartet for her performance, other performers include Tones And I, Bruno Major, Jeremy Zucker, and Tom Grennan.Lauv is set to take the spotlight for two consecutive nights as the headlining act. Local performers include Paul Kim, Jannabi, and Chang Kiha.

Where: Jakarta, Indonesia
What: Following a show-stopping performance at Java Jazz 2023, Icelandic-Chinese jazz-pop sensation Laufey is set to make a highly-anticipated return to the festival in 2024. Laufey will be accompanied by an impressive lineup including Yussef Dayes, October London, Rai Thistletwayte, and other notable artists.
When: May 4 - 5
Where: Seoul, South Korea
What: One of the biggest hip-hop festivals in South Korea, Hiphopplaya Festival is gearing up for its return to Seoul's Nanji Hanggang Park this May. Set to perform on day one of the festival are icons such as Zico, Dynamic Duo, Giriboy, B.I and Lee Young-ji, while day two’s lineup includes E Sens, Changmo, Kid Milli, Ash Island, Camo, and more.
When: May 1 & 5
Where: Fort Canning Park, Singapore
What: Singapore's Rockfest makes a triumphant return this May, spanning two days of electrifying performances. On the festival's opening day, iconic rock veterans Deep Purple will take the stage, treating fans to classics like 'Smoke On The Water' (1972) and 'Child In Time' (1970). Having last graced Singapore with their presence at The Star Theatre in 2013, Deep Purple promises a nostalgic and powerful performance. Headlining the second day, on May 5, will be the energetic and crowd-pleasing All Time Low. More acts will be unveiled in the coming months.

Where: Manila, Philippines
What: One of Manila’s favourite festivals, Wanderland is set to captivate the crowd in 2024 with a stellar lineup. Day one will be headlined by the iconic Jack Johnson, while Thundercat takes the spotlight on day two. The diverse roster includes MAMAMOO's dynamic member Hwasa, folk artist Novo Amor, as well as South Korean rapper Beenzino, amongst other talented performers. Embracing the richness of Filipino music, the festival also proudly showcases local artists such as Lola Amour, Jeff Bernat, Grentperez, Paolo Sandejas, Ena Mori, and Gabba.
