Renowned Taiwanese TV host Jacky Wu has fired back at fellow TV personality Mickey Huang following the latter's shocking allegations of sexual harassment and drug accusations.

Mickey recently addressed the allegations in a series of now-deleted Facebook videos, and oddly enough, decided to drop a series of bombshells exposing other Taiwanese celebrities. Besides accusing Barbie and Dee Hsu of taking drugs, he also mentioned Jacky’s involvement with various women, including his wife Chang Wei-wei, leading to speculations about their relationship.

Jacky Wu responds

This prompted Jacky to take legal action. In a video response, uploaded in three parts on Instagram, the beloved Taiwanese host strongly denied the allegations and expressed his intention to file a lawsuit.

“People asked if I’ll be affected by the #MeToo movement. I won’t be affected at all,” the 60-year-old said at the start of the video.

“I am a zai nan (geek). I only know how to hide at home… I don’t go out of the house,” he added deprecatingly.

Regarding the allegations of his involvement with various women, he said: “I dated all of my girlfriends sincerely. I have always dated with the intention of marriage and starting a family in mind.”

“All of what you’ve said about me is incorrect. What do to? I’ve got to respond accordingly,” he shared in the two-minute clip, announcing his intention to sue.

Wished Mickey Huang well

Despite the possibility of a defamation case between the two, Jacky said that he hopes Mickey will recovers from this episode and even left words of encouragement for him.

He addressed Mickey as “my old friend”, and joked that they might stop calling each other that.

“I guess we’re not friends anymore because we’re going to see each other in court.”

“We are concerned about you, please don’t attempt to take your life again. Committing suicide is such an irresponsible act. Be a man. You have a wife and a young kid. You’ve got to take care of yourself,” he added.

Still, the veteran host added one last jab.

“Just admit to your own wrongdoings. Why did you have to go and pull other people into this?” he said.

“All the best Mickey Huang, don’t let your thoughts run wild and don’t take things too hard. Clear your head and stop slandering others, it is pointless,” Jacky said with a wry smile.
