Kate Upton wants to show that a healthy body is “attainable”.

The curvaceous model is famed for her work with Sports Illustrated but is now carving out a high-fashion career. She appears in the November issue of US Vogue, where she models pieces by Jason Wu, Narciso Rodriguez and Calvin Klein.

She speaks about her famous figure in the article.

“I don’t want to starve myself. I still want to hang out with my family and be a normal girl. You have to be confident, and that doesn’t mean starving yourself,” she said. “I think it’s important to look at magazines and think a healthy lifestyle is attainable. Now that the fashion industry likes the idea of me, I’m happy if I can have an influence.”

Kate isn’t sure why her career has soared over the last year. She hopes to be a good role model for young women though.

“You know, actually, I don’t really know why [the industry has] chosen me,” she admitted. “But I am excited because I love fashion. And I am excited to be in a place where I can be a good example.”
