Kensington Palace announced yesterday that the Duchess of Cambridge has given birth to a baby boy, according to BBC.com. The yet-unnamed baby was delivered at 4.24pm weighing 8lb 6oz at St. Mary’s Hospital in west London, the same hospital where his father Prince William was born.

As per tradition, the announcement of the birth was displayed on an easel at Buckingham Palace.

The new royal baby – who will be known as the Prince of Cambridge – will be third in line to the throne, after his grandfather Prince Charles and father Duke of Cambridge.
