UPDATE 21/06/2013: Kim Kardashian and Kanye West have named their baby girl North West, according to TMZ.

The online entertainment website was said to have obtained information on the newborn’s birth certificate from the Cedars-Sinai Medical Center.

Seems like Kim Kardashian may just have hopped off the “K”-lettered naming trend from her side of the family.

Reality television star Kim Kardashian, 32, has given birth to her first child with rapper Kanye West on June 15, 2013.

Dubbed “Kimye” by celebrity gossip rags, news of the celebrity couple’s baby bundle went viral over Twitter.

Entertainment news website TMZ.com had reported that Kim Kardashian was admitted to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Beverly Hills some five weeks before her due date, over the Father’s Day weekend.

Khloé Kardashian was the first to verify the news of her niece’s birth. The proud aunt tweeted: “I can not even begin 2describe the miracle that is now apart of our family. Mommy/baby are healthy & resting. We appreciate all of the love. (sic)”

In a next tweet, she added: “More info will come when the time is right! Thank you all for understanding! We love you all dearly! Overwhelmed with love right now.”

Not much is known about the baby, as neither the couple nor the infamously tabloid-hogging Kardashian family have yet to release an official statement on the birth nor a photo of the newborn.

Having shot to reality television notoriety with the “tell-all” Keeping Up With the Kardashians, the Kardashian family has been surprisingly tight-lipped on the news of the latest Kardashian baby, though an official photo shoot is likely to be in the works.

In the meantime, speculations are rife on the baby’s name, with the most rampant rumour being that her name will start with a “K”.
