South Korean male model Shin-woo – best-known for his super masculine, brooding good looks, a foil to the more common ‘pretty boy’ Korean star – will be attending Singapore’s Fashion Week 2013 and walking the runway and the red carpet for the second time.

Shin-woo was a major catwalk draw when he walked at Men’s Fashion Week 2012 – also organised by Fide Fashion Weeks who are behind the Fashion Week 2013 events – and he was excited by the attention paid to him according to an interview he did with Oh Kpop in May 2012 right after the shows.

According to Oh Kpop, Shin-woo won Korea’s “Cool Guy” competition organised by Men’s Health Korea in 2009, and is signed to Stallion Entertainment agency. His real name is Lee Ji Hoon, which unfortunately for him is the same as a much more established actor and singer, so the model changed his name to stem the tide of confusion.

In the interview with Oh Kpop, Shin-woo said he was very impressed with the architecture of Marina Bay Sands and Singapore in general, and liked all the designers he walked for including his compatriot Songzio and Singapore-linked London-based label Bodybound, as well as MCM.

Hopefully Shin-woo will be in as many shows at Fashion Week 2013; he’s hard to miss so if you see him wandering around Marina Bay Sands over the next few days, make sure you say ‘hi’.

From October 9 to 19, 2013, over 30 international designers ranging from men’s and women’s prêt-à-porter, women’s couture and haute couture will show their collections as part of Singapore’s Fashion Week 2013. This event is presented by The Shoppes at Marina Bay Sands and organised by Fide Fashion Weeks.
