Gillian Chung spotted with a lookalike of controversial ex-flame Edison Chen

Seems like Gillian Chung has found love once again. The 42-year-old was recently spotted cosying up to an androgynous Chinese influencer, who bears an uncanny resemblance to her controversial ex-boyfriend Edison Chen.

Back in 2008, sexually explicit photos of the ex-lovers leaked online. It caused a huge scandal and Gillian was swiftly dropped from various projects, forcing her to go on a long hiatus. 

Who is Huangfu Shenghua? 

Weibo users have identified the Edison Chen doppelganger as Huangfu Shenghua, a Chinese influencer and actor with over 2.2 million followers on Weibo. The androgynous fashionista is known for her extravagant lifestyle and is rumoured to be from a well-to-do family. 

In a paparazzi video, the pair were seen walking in a very touchy-feely manner, with Huangfu even appearing to plant a kiss on Gillian's cheek. This display of affection has fueled speculation about the nature of their relationship. However, some netizens have said that their closeness might be nothing more than a display of friendship. 

Both Gillian and Shenghua have yet to comment on the rumours, so their relationship remains unconfirmed. Gillian's last known relationship was with ex-husband Michael Lai, who is a Taiwanese aesthetics doctor. The pair split in 2020.
