Eva Herzigova wasn’t “immediately accepted” by the rest of her supermodel peers.
The beauty was reunited with the original 90s supermodels Naomi Campbell, Cindy Crawford, Helena Christensen and Yasmin Le Bon for a shoot for Duran Duran’s new music promo, Girl Panic!
Eva says her involvement in the video echoed her joining the group at the beginning.
“I was the last member to join the video and I was also the last to join the supermodel clan,” she told British newspaper Evening Standard.
“I moved in when everybody was already there. They didn’t want to accept me immediately and there was a bit of a challenge.”
Eva was so pleased to be reunited with the rest of the beautiful women for the music video though. The 38-year-old star had a great time making the music promo.
“I’m not saying I wanted to cry when we were making this video, but it was a feel-good moment,” she explained. “When you don’t have that union for ten years, you forget how much it’s been a part of you and how much you miss it.”
Eva is famed for being the face and body of the 1994 ‘Hello Boys’ Wonderbra campaign. The mother-of-two says the adverts were empowering.
“It was sharp, witty and it gave women strength,” she said. “Up until then lingerie adverts had been exploiting women as objects, but I think the Wonderbra gave off a different signal. It was telling women that they were empowered.” © COVERMEDIA
