For those who’re unfamiliar with Chinese actress Ni Ni, you’ll be seeing a lot of her very soon. That’s because she’s now the new face of Gucci (aka the luxury label that many fashion lovers are #obsessed with at the moment).

The 28-year-old actress, who’s starred alongside heartthrobs including Eddie Peng, Christian Bale, Jing Boran and Wallace Huo, is best known for her role in director Zhang Yimou’s The Flowers Of War. She’s most recently been seen in the action film The Warriors Gate with Taiwanese-Canadian actor Mark Chao.

Before fronting Gucci’s latest eyewear campaign, Ni Ni was already a fashion front-row regular and red-carpet darling. The Gucci fan had also been seen wearing creative director Alessandro Michele’s designs regularly. That’s why it comes as no surprise that she’s now the poster girl for Gucci’s upcoming eyewear campaign in Asia, launching in February 2017.

“I have been captivated by Michele’s collections,” shares Ni Ni. “His passion for beauty of the past, and how he imparts his own poetic language into designs that speak to the individuality of a person is fascinating. To be part of this new chapter at Gucci is truly inspiring.”

Here, we take a look at some of her gorgeous #OOTDs and pick up some fashion tips along the way.

Tip 1: Borrow from your boyfriend

For many of us, this may be a familiar scene. We open our closets every morning, stare at it for a minute and think, “Why do I have nothing to wear?” Here’s a money-saving trick: Instead of indulging in yet another round of online shopping, reach for a shirt from your boyfriend’s closet. Pair it with a pencil skirt for work or skinny jeans for casual Fridays.

Tip 2: Try a one-shoulder dress

Thinking hard about what to wear for your relative’s wedding? Instead of donning the usual LBD, pick something more interesting. A one-shoulder dress shows off just the right amount of skin without being overly sexy.

Tip 3: Never get a boring pullover

Why buy something plain when you can look way more fun in a playful pullover? Ni Ni’s adorable kitty jumper makes this Instagram photo extra worthy of our double-taps.

Tip 4: Own a bold bag

On the days when you’re too lazy to think about what to wear, you can count on a brightly coloured bag to make your outfit instantly striking.

Tip 5: Layer your basics

If the tee-shirt and jeans combo is starting to look a little too plain, layer it with a denim jacket to complete your weekend outfit.
