There’s also sweet, zesty pineapple and cherry stuffing. Other highlights include Crisp crackling Roast Pork Saddle with Pancetta & earthy Porcini Mushroom Stuffing, with spiced orange rum sauce, and the rich, meltingly tender 39-day dry-aged Smokey BBQ Dry Aged Irish Beef Mid Ribs (Bone-in).

Shangri-La Singapore has a thoughtful curation of take-home treats to usher in Christmas in style. Rustico Spice Roasted U.S. Whole Turkey ($258 nett, 6kg) is on the menu, with the bird seasoned with an aromatic blend of Italian Rustico spices.

Add to it with the Truffle Honey and Cinnamon Glazed Bone-in Gammon Ham ($298 nett, 7kg) or the updated Black Angus Beef Wellington ($348 nett, 1.5kg) that sees a tender beef fillet wrapped in indulgent foie gras and mushroom duxelles.

New on the menu is the succulent Slow Roasted Garlic and Rosemary Studded Leg of Lamb ($288 nett, 3.5kg). Or if you’re looking for an alternative to all that meat, get the Salt Baked Seabass Fillet ($168 nett, 2kg), fragranced with a medley of herbs and lemon.

Modern European restaurant Tablescape at Grand Park City Hall has a repertoire of treats that starts with a juicy and tender Celebration Roasted Chicken ($78nett, serves 2 to 4), served with a giblet gravy of chicken stock and duck fat, and greens. Scented with clove, the Holiday Gammon Ham ($128nett, serves 6 to 10) gets our thumbs up with succulent meat. Grilled pineapple and apricot jus add a fruity touch.

There’s also Wellington Wonderland ($208 nett, for 6 to 8), which sees 70-day grain-fed Angus beef tenderloin with duxelles mushrooms and sauteed broccolini with red wine jus.

The pretty wreath-shaped Chocolate Cranberry Christmas Charcuterie Platter ($68nett, Good for 6 to 10 persons) is back, with house-made chocolate cranberry brioche bread topped with candy cane, cured hams, mortadella, salami, bleu cheese, asiago cheese, brie, marmalade, and an assortment of nuts.

Revel in an Italian-style Christmas with Da Paolo’s festive favourites.

Back on the menu is the Stuffed Boneless Roast Turkey($388,approx.4kg) that has been thoughtfully deboned and stuffde with Cotechino, a rich and slightly gamey traditional Italian pork sausage. New to the line-up is the Braised Beef Ribs ($248, approx 1.3kg), slow-cooked in red wine and meltingly tender.

For comforting carbs, there’s no going wrong with indulgent Truffle Mac & Cheese Tray, or the Ravioli al Parmigiano, filled with Parmigiano Reggiano and balsamic vinegar, and cloaked in a robust pomodoro sauce.

Desserts are fab too, including the deliciously rich Flourless Chocolate Log Cake, the new Gingerbread Chocolate Tart with a subtle gingerbread fragrance, and the soft, airy panettone.

If turkey and ham isn't your thing, you might want to try Tanglin Cookhouse's Beef Wellington Family Feast ($238, suitable for 6 - 8 pax). With Christmas just around the corner, Tanglin Cookhouse looks back to its colonial British roots once more for a celebration that marries age-old traditions with a side of modernity.
The centrepiece of of the feast is a stunning Christmas Beef Wellington, served with the full frills of sides including forest mix mushroom duxelles, prosciutto ham and spinach, finished off with a red wine sauce. The plethora of accompanying sides include the Rudolph Pie, where under a golden pie crust lies a bed of minced pork and venison ragout, sweetened with garden peas and lent bite with parsnip and potato mash. Eat your greens with a Christmas Roasted Butternut & Apple Salad and Root Veggie Tarte Tatin, which bears a full open-faced pie of honey-herb roasted root vegetables laid upon a buttery puff pastry. Cooked from perfectly al dente long-grain rice, fragranced with sauteed vegetables, herbs and toasted almonds, the Cranberry Rice Pilaf doesn’t disappoint too. Finally, wrap things up on a sweet note with The Queen’s Christmas Pudding.
