Mamma Mia Focaccia

Focaccia by day, champagne by night – Mamma Mia Focaccia is Singapore’s newest grab-and-go spot, opening October 21 in the CBD.

Inspired by the Italian-style sandwiches by famed All’Antico Vinaio, Mamma Mia uses house-made, long-fermented, olive oil-rich focaccia to shine the spotlight on a variety of fresh deli fillings.

The menu features ten sandwiches, with combinations like mortadella, pastrami, stracciatella, arugula, sun-dried tomatoes, prosciutto, or even Nutella for a sweet twist. Prices range from $14–$24.

After work, the 40-seat speakeasy lounge The Champagnery takes over. The hidden door beyond the deli counter leads into the chic evening space, perfect for unwinding with bubbly.

Mamma Mia Focaccia is located at 94 Amoy St, Singapore 069914.

Folk Yard

A familiar sight for Potong Pasir residents, Folk Yard has been on foodie bucket lists since 2022 – and continues to draw queues of brunch-loving Singaporeans.

The standout? Their Breakfast Sandwich. Priced at $18, it is indulgence in every bite – cheese-embedded scrambled eggs, irresistibly crunchy candied bacon, and a decadent layer of fried hashbrown drenched in maple syrup.

Another unexpected favourite is their Fried Brussels. Available from $6 for a half-portion, these caramelised Brussels sprouts are tossed in a sweet-and-salty, teriyaki-like sauce for maximum flavour.

Folk Yard is located at 51 Upper Serangoon Rd, #01-59 Poiz Centre, Singapore 347697.

Don’t Runaway

Free sandwiches? Say less.

From the team behind Champion Bolo Bun, pop-up shop Don’t Runaway is piloting its new American-style sandwich concept – and it’s all on a giveaway basis, practically no strings attached.

Each weekend, one sandwich is available for free per person through the Don’t Runaway app, with the menu rotating weekly. Early visitors can also grab limited-edition merchandise.

Check the brand’s socials for the latest offerings.

Don’t Runaway is currently located at 320 Joo Chiat Rd, Singapore 427571.

Korio

At the heart of Singapore’s CBD, Korio serves up loaded, New York-style sandwiches and handcrafted donuts in a casual, homegrown setting. Re-opened in December 2024 in collaboration with Zouk Group, Korio first launched on Amoy Street in 2020 and is credited as one of the pioneers of the sandwich-and-donut concept in Singapore.

Returning favourites include the gooey gryere, cheddar, and mozzarella Grilled Cheese Sandwich, as well as the hearty Sausage and Egg, nestled in a toasted potato roll adorned with a drizzle of hot mayo. Other highlights are the overflowing Breakfast Sandwich – crispy luncheon meat, an egg-mayo mixture, sandwiched between soft brioche – and a rotating selection of monthly specials. Prices range from $13–$19.50.

Korio is located at IOI Central Boulevard Towers, #01-11, 2 Central Boulevard, Singapore 018916, and 20 Tan Quee Lan Street, #01-21, Guoco Midtown II, Singapore 188107.

Caffe Pralet

You’ve probably seen Pralet’s Tiktok-famous burnt butter honey-glazed sourdough donuts – proudly made with a 14-year-old starter and fermented for three days before frying. But did you know that Caffe Pralet also serves sourdough sandwiches?

From reinvented classics like the Cheeky Avocado – cashew chipotle pesto, avocado, grilled chicken breast, encased in garlic chye poh sougrdough – to flavour-packed options like the Beef’in Cheese’in – featuring braised tender beef chuck and caramelised onions – Pralet’s sourdough sandwiches, ranging from $12–$14, are one to watch.

Vegetarians can opt for the Magic Mushrooms, loaded with grilled mushrooms, a medley of cheeses, and cilantro sauce.

Still hungry? Just add $4.80 to add a cookie, or one of their famous donuts, as well as a soft drink to complete your meal.

Caffe Pralet is located at 17 Eng Hoon St, #01-04 Eng Hoon Mansions, Singapore 169767.

Sarnies

This small cafe at 136 Telok Ayer Street is a long-time favourite for Aussie style grub in Singapore.

The Steak and Cheese sandwich features Argentinian minute steak, oven-roasted mushrooms, caramelised onions, cheddar and mozzarella, and creamy aioli. For something golden and crispy, try the Chicken Schnitzel, enhanced with smoked chipotle aioli and balanced with fried capers and melty cheese.

Other moreish options include the Sous Vide Chicken sarnie, packed with shredded chicken, guacamole, house bacon, lettuce, and tomatoes, and the Bacon & Egg sarnie with fried eggs, homemade tomato relish, bacon, and bacon jam. Customers can choose from three types of bread – country sourdough, wrap, or ciabatta.
