Are Blackpink’s Lisa and Jennie on good terms?

Blackpink kicked off their Deadline world tour earlier this July, performing sold-out shows across Los Angeles, Paris, London and Bangkok with Singapore next on the list at the end of November. But while the group’s high-energy performances continue to dominate stages worldwide, fans have been buzzing about something else entirely: a possible rift between Lisa and Jennie.

The TikTok that started it all

It began with what seemed like an innocent TikTok that was recently posted in early November of Lisa and Jennie doing the viral Beez in the Trap trend, where the camera pans dramatically while the duo lip-syncs to Nicki Minaj’s mashup track. The clip, originally posted on Jennie’s account on November 3, instantly went viral (of course) and fans naturally, couldn’t get enough of seeing the two together again after months of barely any joint content.

But the excitement quickly took a turn. The video, which had already racked up millions of views, was suddenly deleted. Some fans speculated that it was removed due to backlash from “solo stans” — individual fans of either Jennie or Lisa — who have been known to stir tension online. On the flip side, others guessed it was a simple “technical glitch” since it was only removed on TikTok but not on other platforms like YouTube. But either way, the timing fueled even more rumours about the duo’s dynamic.

Luckily for fans, the clip was republished on Jennie’s profile soon after, and let’s just say, it didn’t just recover, it exploded. As of the time of writing, the reuploaded video has amassed over 75.9 million views and 14.1 million likes, cementing its place as one of their most talked-about posts this year.

The viral “run-in” that sparked more speculation

Just as the TikTok buzz started to die down, another video reignited the conversation. In a short clip that’s since gone viral, Jennie and Lisa appear to cross paths briefly without acknowledging each other. And as you’d expect, the moment was enough to send fans into a total frenzy, with some interpreting it as proof of tension between the two members.

Others, however, were quick to debunk the theory. Based on Lisa’s outfit, the encounter happened during Blackpink’s 8th anniversary celebration in August 2024 — an event both attended. Fans pointed out that since they were already at the event together, it wasn’t surprising that they didn’t stop to greet each other again on camera.

So… Is there really drama?

For longtime Blinks, rumours of “beef” between Jennie and Lisa aren’t new because they’ve surfaced on and off for years.
