Actor, singer, entertainer: Korean star Lee Seung Gi's versatility as a "Triple Threat" entertainer is certainly well-known.

Rising to prominence with his role as Sun Woo Hwan in the widely acclaimed drama Brilliant Legacy (2009), Lee showcased his acting prowess and set the stage for a remarkable career. His foray into romantic fantasy came with My Girlfriend is a Gumiho (2010), a series that further solidified his status as a leading actor. In the political and romantic drama The King 2 Hearts (2012), Lee displayed his versatility by portraying a South Korean prince engaged in a joint military project with a North Korean officer.

In 2019, Lee and popular Korean star Bae Suzy reunited in the spy action drama Vagabond, marking their second collaboration. His stellar performance in the series earned him the Top Excellence Award in a Miniseries at the 2019 SBS Drama Awards, further solidifying his reputation as a top-tier actor.

Most recently, he has starred alongside actor Lee Hee-joon in the crime thriller Mouse (2021), as well as heartwarming romance drama The Law Cafe, which revolves around a former prosecutor turned landlord and a former Miss Korea turned lawyer, based on a popular web novel.

On the musical front, Lee made an impactful debut with his first album, The Dream of a Moth (2004), featuring the chart-topping hit Because You're My Girl. His subsequent albums, including Return (2012) and Tonight, showcased his growth as a singer, highlighting his emotional depth and mature musical style.

Beyond the realms of acting and singing, Lee has captivated audiences through his hosting endeavours. As a cast member on the popular variety show 1 Night 2 Days (2007-2012), his wit, humor, and affable personality endeared him to audiences nationwide. Serving as the MC of Strong Heart (2009-2012), Lee demonstrated his hosting skills and ability to engage with guests from various backgrounds.

In 2021, Lee was honored with the Baeksang Arts Award for Best Male Variety Performer (South Korea's equivalent to an Academy Award). Recognized for his exceptional hosting skills in popular shows such as Busted!, Twogether, Hometown Flex, Sing Again, and Master in the House, this accolade underscores his versatile talent in the realm of variety entertainment.

Earlier last month, Lee was in our neighbouring country, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, for a live fan meet organised by KC Global Media.
