Japanese bakery, Green Pumpkin, goes totally exotic this Christmas with a new approach to the traditional log cake. Their Au Chocolat Yule Log sounds like a dream, with succulent peach slices in a rich chocolate mousse. The Aux Fruit Yule Log is a delightful vanilla sponge with studded with apple and berries, covered in mango mousse.

Harry Potter fans celebrate, this year Swiss Bakery is offering a Butterbeer smoked ham!

The “Butterbeer” is made from a marinade of rum and butter. If that isn’t your thing, try the Grand Marnier ham, made with their special house blend and a firm favourite for years.

Prices: $60 per kilo for both hams

Watch out for Pan Pacific’s Limited Edition Cinnamon-glazed Gammon Ham with Persimmon Chutney this year, a new addition to the hotel’s endless menu of traditional Christmas treats, chocolates, log cakes and roast.The Aniseed Ginger Vanilla Cheese log cake looks yummy too!

Prices: Cinnamon Glazed Gammon Ham with Persimmon Chutney and other hams go for $128 to $158. Log cakes are all $60+, all prices are subject to change. Delivery to one location is complimentary for orders above $600. For orders below, a $50 delivery charge is applied.

Senso’s Christmas Fair allows you to take home gourmet dinner fare. Senso is even organising a Fiera di Natale tasting party for guests, before you choose the items for pre-order and delivery. Select from a variety of dishes such as Saint Danielle Parma Ham and Honey Baked Ham. Roast turkey and Veal with Gremolata, can also be ordered and delivered to your doorstep.

Madeleines, macarons, and citrus brioche, what’s not to love? Even the ‘La Buche de Noel au Citron’ log cake has been give a citrusy twist with yuzu, ginger cream and gourmet ‘Mara de bois” strawberries.

Michael Lounge offers an entertaining and fruity ‘Forest Nature Wild Cherry’ Yule log cake. Covered with chocolate gingerbread men, macarons and delicate sugar flowers, uncover layers of dark chocolate mousse, orange-flavoured creme brulee and spice Cherry. The base is made of cocoa nib biscuits to deliver a crunchy surprise. Sounds like an adventure! If that isn’t your thing, try their good ‘Old Fashioned Nutty Fruit Cake’.
