It’s #NationalCatDay! Use that hashtag when you’re declaring your love for your cat on Instagram, and you may find your kitty’s picture alongside these Instagram superstars. Regardless of whether you’re a cat or dog person, these fluffy Instagram stars are bound to make your day, and probably also pull you into hours and hours of endless Instagram scrolling. Trust me, I know, I’ve just spent a full hour staring into these adorable felines’ eyes and wishing I had my own fat cat to cuddle with. I had to snap myself back into reality (and subsequently felt a twinge of guilt because my beloved dog hates cats). If you ask me, everyday should be National Cat Day because these cuddly, laid-back creatures make our lives so much better with their mere presence.

Some may find Snoopy’s huge eyes unnatural and scary-looking, but more than 302,000 people on Instagram find them endearing, including myself. I especially love his uniquely flat face, squished nose and how fluffy his entire body is. I can only imagine how soft his fur must be.

2. Roku

Roku has definitely made a name for himself on Instagram thanks to his photographer owner who takes skillful shots of him at his cutest moments, with sassy captions like “no you can’t come up, sorry brah.” Other than his beautiful fur, he also has enchanting green eyes and guess what – he just became a grandfather! His little grand-kittens were born a few weeks ago, view his Instagram to see the precious tiny versions of Roku and prepare to squeal at their cuteness.

3. Princess Monster Truck

With bright yellow eyes and two sharp teeth sticking out, Princess Monster Truck is easily the most ferocious-looking Internet Famous cat. No need to worry, though, her owner Tracy assures us that she’s “all teeth, no bite.” Even with such a savage face, Monster has so many fans that she has her own merchandise! However, Monster’s life wasn’t always so glamourous. She was a lonely rescue cat before being adopted. Her compassionate owner Tracy puts her Internet fame to good use by embarking on a #PassionProject to encourage her followers to adopt a pet that desperately needs a home, which is much kinder than simply shopping around for the next trophy kitten or puppy.

Like Princess Monster Truck, adorable Nala was also a rescue cat. She’s also the most famous cat on the Internet with 2.4 million Instagram followers and various business ventures like her very own cookbook, throw pillows and meet-and-greet sessions, just to name a few. The blue-eyed beauty also promotes adopting pets to her followers by frequently endorsing animal shelters. Talk about being more than a pretty face.

5. Sam

Sam is a perfectly normal white cat, but with an extra pair of eyebrows. Distinctive eyebrow-like markings above his eyes separates him from the ocean of ordinary cats and his 177,000 fans love that about him. His eyebrows gives him a permanently surprised and concerned expression, which I find really cute and comical. His lighthearted face is the the complete opposite of Grumpy Cat, who looks how someone would look like if Christmas had been cancelled. For good.
