What: Popcorn flavours are given cute names by the Taiwan brand, yet the spicy flavours pack a punch. Do not miss Kimmy G, which has a slightly sour and spicy kimchi flavour, as well as Emosabi, which is wasabi. Pop at least three at a go for a good kick. Other flavours include Noriweed, which is seaweed; and Ms. Melmel, which is caramel. Each flavour (except chocolate) comes in two sizes – Buddy (resealable packet from $6.90 for 160g) and Party (resealable tub from $9.90 for 280g onwards).

What: The gourmet food retailer carries two flavours from San Francisco-based popcorn brand 479 Degrees. They are Fleur de Sel Caramel ($15.50 for a 113g box) and Black Truffle and White Cheddar ($15.50 for a 57g box). The brand’s name refers to 479 deg F, the optimal temperature for popping corn.

MARKS & SPENCER
What: These poppers are not only tasty, but each individual bag comes with a calorie count for controlled snacking.

Two flavours available are Chocolate & Pecan, which has Belgian milk chocolate and pecans; and Strawberry & White Chocolate, which is drizzled with Belgian white chocolate and has tangy freeze-dried strawberries.

Each flavour costs $8.90 for a pack of five individual 27g bags. Selected outlets also carry a Toffee Popcorn Crunch ice cream ($13.50 for 500ml) which is caramel popcorn ice cream with cookie dough chunks, sweet and salty toffee almond crunch and chocolate flakes.
