SCWO’s SAGE 2026 invites you to rewrite your career success

The pathway to career success for women in Singapore is no longer linear. Pregnancy, caregiving, career breaks – as women embrace diverse pathways across different life stages, society must move away from rigid corporate timelines. Workplaces and systems around them must evolve. But how do we create more flexible, inclusive, and future-ready environments where women can participate, thrive, and lead? 

This year’s Summit for Action on Gender Equality (SAGE) centres this conversation. Returning on 18 September for its third edition and organised by the Singapore Council of Women’s Organisations (SCWO), the flagship gathering will bring together leaders, policymakers, corporates, community organisations, and changemakers to explore the future of work.

The theme, “Redefining work: Creating New Pathways for Women”, examines how women are rewriting traditional definitions of success through new models of work, evolving career pathways, entrepreneurship, leadership, and innovative approaches that challenge conventional barriers.

Speakers at SAGE 2026

Opening the summit is Guest of Honour Ms Jasmin Lau, Senior Minister of State for the Ministry of Digital Development and Information and Acting Minister for Manpower, who will kick off a day of thought-provoking conversations on success. Prof Lily Kong, President of Singapore Management University, will follow with an impactful keynote address exploring new perspectives of the future of women’s careers.

Amongst the outstanding line-up of speakers and moderators is Mrs Sher-li Torrey, founder of Mums@Work Singapore and co-founder of Career Navigators Singapore, who will moderate the panel: Beyond the Linear Career Path – a conversation topic apt for working mothers or women navigating transitions across life stages. To round off the discussion, Ms Junie Foo, SCWO’s immediate past president, will join Ms Chew Gek Khim, executive chairman of The Straits Trading Company Limited, for a fireside chat offering valuable takeaways and a look ahead.

The day will also feature panels, a networking lunch and breakout discussions on inclusion in the workplace, embracing diverse pathways and corporate timelines, as well as upskilling amid job disruptions caused by the digital economy and AI. 

SCWO’s SAGE is more than a conference. It’s where women get inspired, network, and become agents of change in their own industries and communities.
