It’s been another year of disruptions and interruptions, and our inner worlds have been understandably strained. We asked members of our Her World Tribe for their reflections and takeaways on self-care from 2021, and to share their plans for the year ahead.
“Self-care matters to me because I perform so much better when my cup is filled and my health isn’t failing. Whether I’m being a leader at work or a mum to my kids, when I’ve taken care of my well-being, I have more to give,” says founder and brand owner of Nodspark, Eugenia Ye-Yeo.
“My 2021 turned out as I had imagined: full of unknowns, but also full of strong individuals pushing forward together. It was amazing to recognise the strength of those around you when push comes to shove.

“A low point of 2021 was a health scare in the early part of the year. I realised that even though I looked healthy, an annual full body review is important to know how your health is doing. I changed my diet and got discharged by my specialist a few months later. It’s always wise to take charge of your health. Meanwhile, some high points include riding through the storms at work with the team and smashing targets together.”
