This song is my favourite women empowerment theme song! Women have come a long way in terms of gender equality. In some societies, we get to go after our dreams, our opinions are valued, we can pursue an education in any field we want and, most importantly, stand on our own feet.
Years ago, women were not allowed to work; we were not allowed to vote, and we were not supposed to voice our thoughts. While gender equality is still a work in progress, in some industries in Singapore, women have started climbing up the corporate ladder to hold important positions. #girlboss is now a real thing.
