Son Ye-jin, who loves outdoor activities, shares glimpses of her enviable figure on Instagram from time to time. She wasn’t born with this figure, of course. If you didn’t know, Son has been a qualified TRX trainer for over nine years.
TRX, or Total Resistance Existence, is a full-body exercise that uses suspension training straps, and is obviously great for strengthening and sculpting the body. Son had showcased her daily TRX routine on a variety show, which included squats, butt lifts and planks, much to the awe of the audience.
Besides TRX, Son is also a lover of pilates. Staying active has definitely helped her stay slim and toned over the years.
Another fact: Son is an ardent supporter of Singaporean beauty label Skin Inc. In a past interview, Son shared that micro-dust is a serious problem in Korea, and almost everyone in Korea suffers from dry and sensitive skin. Even though she’s prone to having oily skin, Son faces the same predicament too. Due to her packed filming schedule, Son often lacks sleep. She shares that she would drink more water, between two and three litres a day, and consume more fruits to strengthen her immunity.
Son shared that she stopped cleansing her skin in the morning as it wasn’t good for her skin, using just water instead. However, she later discovered that her skin was oily and she changed to washing her face every morning. In addition, regardless of how late her schedule gets, she insists on removing makeup and washing her face before going to bed.
Son had shared on a programme that she doesn’t impose restrictions on her diet (neither does she have much resistance against good food!) and she definitely wouldn’t skip breakfast. Her breakfast consists of simple food such as fruit juice, boiled egg, yoghurt and cereals. In addition, she carries lemon-infused water with her to stay hydrated and control her appetite.
