I’m one of those people who has specific preferences: I like my white rice moist and not dry and burnt, unless it’s claypot rice then it has to be burnt. And I like my chilled water around 5-degree Celsius and not colder or warmer and I like hot beverages not boiling hot but hovers around 90-degree Celsius so I don’t have to wait to drink. A lot of demands, I know but I’m sure I’m not the only one around who has such “preferences”, as I’ll like to call them instead.
And oh, before you think that was the last of it, I also really dislike the slightly metallic tap-water taste. I know tap water in Singapore is perfectly safe for consumption but I would still prefer to boil or filter mine before I drink them. When my parents invested in a filter-water dispenser a few years ago before I got my own, I would bring a few huge empty water bottles just so I could fill them every time I visit them. Yes, that’s my level of commitment to filtered water.
